Budding Backyard Bonsaist is owned and managed by Shaun M Jooste, the CEO of Celenic Earth Publications and a published author of fantasy and horror novels. Beyond his writing, Shaun is deeply passionate about bonsai cultivation and shares that love through this project. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, he tends to his collection of bonsai trees alongside his family and pets, learning and teaching through every new season.
What began as a backyard hobby has grown into a mission to inspire others to find peace, focus, and creativity through bonsai. Every article, image, and guide shared here reflects Shaun’s personal experience, connecting storytelling and horticulture into something truly unique.
