Bonsai doesn’t always need to involve major pruning, repotting, wiring or shaping.
Sometimes you can simply enjoy your trees.
If you’re looking for peaceful weekend plans, spend a little time among your bonsai collection. Check how each tree is progressing, inspect the leaves and branches, look for new growth and make sure watering requirements are being met.
Then stop working and simply appreciate them.
One of the pleasures of bonsai is watching a tree gradually change over months and years. When we’re constantly focused on the next pruning session or development goal, it becomes easy to overlook how far a tree has already come.
A quiet Saturday morning or afternoon is a wonderful opportunity to slow down and observe those little details.
You might notice a new shoot appearing, an interesting branch beginning to develop or simply how beautiful the tree looks in the weekend light.
There will always be more bonsai work waiting.
For today, however, your trees might not need anything from you beyond some water, attention and appreciation.
That’s certainly one weekend plan we’re happy to recommend at Budding Backyard Bonsaist.
Enjoy your trees, your garden and your Saturday!
