Bonsai is more than just a hobby. It is an art form that brings together passionate growers, collectors, clubs, and enthusiasts who enjoy sharing knowledge and showcasing their finest trees. If you’re organising a bonsai expo, exhibition, workshop, or club event in Cape Town, we’d love to help spread the word.
At Budding Backyard Bonsaist (BBB), we’re always looking for opportunities to feature local bonsai events and celebrate the thriving bonsai community in the Western Cape.
Promoting the Bonsai Community
Every bonsai show offers something unique, from beautifully styled trees and demonstrations to vendor stalls and educational talks. These events deserve wider exposure so more people can discover the fascinating world of bonsai.
By inviting BBB to your event, you’ll help us introduce your exhibition to a broader audience of bonsai enthusiasts, gardeners, and those curious about starting their own bonsai journey.
Whether you’re hosting a small club gathering or a major public exhibition, we’re interested in hearing about it.
What We Can Cover
We enjoy showcasing many aspects of bonsai events, including:
- Bonsai exhibitions
- Club meetings and open days
- Live styling demonstrations

Our goal is to highlight the people, trees, and passion that make each event memorable.
Sharing Your Event with Our Readers
We’ll publish an article covering your event, share photographs where available, and help promote the bonsai community throughout Cape Town and beyond.
Our coverage gives organisers additional exposure while encouraging more people to attend future exhibitions and discover the rewarding hobby of bonsai.
We’re always excited to meet fellow enthusiasts and learn more about the incredible trees being cultivated across South Africa.
